WHAT IS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM MOVEMENT?
The Elephant in the Room Movement is a social enterprise founded by Brent Pope, Eoin Byrne and Dave Southern, which brings business, art and community together to help change the narrative around mental well-being, using the visual medium of art sculptures to challenge stigma of all kinds and encourage open conversation about mental health in the workplace.
HOW DO WE CHOOSE AN ARTIST?
We have established relationships with a long list of high-profile and up-and-coming artists throughout Ireland and abroad, and we can work with you to select an appropriate artist (and, where relevant, a celebrity) to design/paint your sculpture. You may also nominate your own artist to decorate your sculpture.
WHAT ARE THE TIMELINES FOR RECEIVING OUR SCULPTURE ARTWORK?
A typical timeline of approximately 6 weeks should be allowed for the artist to complete the commission from the time you sign off on your design brief. Clients usually require approximately the same timeline to run a staff art competition, so allow 3 months from initial order to launching your Elephant in the Room sculpture artwork at your premises.
IS THE ARTWORK PLINTH AND DELIVERY INCLUDED?
Delivery to an Irish location is included in the price of the elephant sculptures, as are the plinth and name plaque, which will incorporate your branding and a statement of your support for the project and mental health awareness.
WHO ARE YOUR CHARITY PARTNERS IN 2024?
Samaritans Ireland is our lead charity partner for 2024. We raised €30,000 for the Samaritans in 2023 and we look forward to working with them again in the coming year, raising funds for the vital services they provide and helping create awareness that they are there to support people through the challenges they face 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO COMMISSION AN ART SCULPTURE?
Rep of Ireland: It costs €6,000 ex VAT (the reduced rate of 13.5% applies) for a bespoke elephant sculpture delivered to a location anywhere in Ireland. UK, US and other jurisdictions: We are also working with clients in the UK, US and other territories and can supply sculpture artworks to anywhere in the world. To order for another jurisdiction, please get in touch and we will give you a quotation based on your location and requirements.
