The Elephant in the Room Gala Ball 2025
A Heartfelt Celebration of Connection, Courage & Community
We gathered for the second Elephant in the Room Gala Ball — a night that brought together friends, families, colleagues, and supporters in a shared mission: to break the silence around mental health.
With powerful words from Brent Pope, emotional stories of lived experience, and entertainment from the brilliant Al Foran, Brian Flanagan & The the evening was as uplifting as it was unforgettable.
Thank you to everyone who attended. Your generous support not only demonstrates your care but also enables us to donate elephant sculptures to schools around the country, at no cost. These elephants act as permanent symbols of openness and support — helping young people begin important conversations.
Building a Movement for Mental Health
Thanks to our incredible supporters — including The Kyne Foundation, Cornmarket, and the Ellie for Sarah fund — we’ve already delivered nearly 40 school elephants in 2025 alone.
Our goal?
To have over 10% of all schools in Ireland proudly hosting their own Ellie by the end of 2026.
Each one sparks conversations. Each one makes it easier to say: “It’s never weak to speak.”
Impact Awards: Honouring Courage
During the Gala, Brent Pope presented three EITR Impact Awards to individuals who have gone above and beyond for the movement — and who have also experienced the heartbreaking loss of a father, brother, or sister to suicide.
Their bravery in turning grief into action is profoundly inspiring.
Congratulations to our 2025 awardees:
Michelle Quint (in absentia)
Anna O’Farrell, creator of “Ellie for Sarah”
Karl Daly, long-time friend and champion of the cause
“The silence surrounding suicide is still most concerning. But these three have made sure their loved ones’ legacies are never forgotten — by encouraging others to speak out and seek help.” — Brent Pope
Let’s Talk. Let’s Listen. Let’s Change.
This was more than a ball. It was a celebration of life, resilience, and community.
Thank you to everyone who made it happen — our sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and each person who stood with us in saying:
Let’s talk. Let’s listen. Let’s change how we see mental health.
