Section 3
This section provides an anonymous Teacher Evaluation form along with a Student Questionnaire to support impact measurement.
Safeguarding protocol & managing disclosures
Elephant in the Room activities are designed to be preventative and educational. However, discussions around wellbeing may prompt personal disclosures.
Before facilitating these evaluation activities, teachers should ensure the school has a safeguarding protocol in place and follow these procedures: Remind students that safeguarding procedures apply. Clarify that while evaluation forms are anonymous, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed where safety concerns arise. Follow the school’s Child Protection Policy. Report concerns to the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) where required.
If a student discloses information indicating risk of harm to themselves or others: Stay calm and listen. Do not promise secrecy. Record the concern factually. Refer immediately to the school’s DLP.
Teachers may adapt or postpone evaluation activities if a class group is experiencing recent trauma or heightened vulnerability.
Teachers and students are asked to complete the evaluation forms anonymously, as indicated, after the Elephant in the Room schools programme has been completed.
If any of these questions made you feel worried, you can talk to a teacher or trusted adult.
