Ohk Energy Welcomes Cara, Their Elephant in the Room Sculpture
Elephant in the Room is delighted to see Ohk Energy introduce Cara, their Elephant in the Room sculpture, as part of their commitment to opening up conversations around mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Cara, meaning “friend”, is a fitting name for a sculpture that represents connection, support and open conversation.
The Ohk Energy team played an important role in naming their elephant and also contributed to the design, choosing words and themes that reflect the everyday actions we can take to support our own mental health and the wellbeing of those around us.
The sculpture came to Ohk Energy through Melior Equity Partners, as part of a wider collaboration across their portfolio companies. We are very grateful to both Ohk Energy and Melior Equity Partners for supporting the movement and helping to bring the Elephant in the Room message into more workplaces.
Founded in Ireland in 2021 by Brent Pope and Eoin Byrne, the Elephant in the Room Movement brings together business, art and community to challenge stigma and spark more open conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
At its core, the movement is built on a simple but powerful idea: that no one should feel alone in what they are going through, and that conversation, compassion and connection can make a real difference.
Cara is a visible reminder of that message.
Sometimes support begins with something simple — checking in on a colleague, asking how someone is doing, or making space for a conversation that matters.
We are proud to welcome Cara to the herd and look forward to seeing the role she plays in encouraging kindness, understanding and connection within Ohk Energy and beyond.
